Airflow
By means of a very strong air and water jet, sodium bicarbonate particles are projected over tooth surfaces in an aim to remove stains, interdental plaque, to finish dental surfaces after scaling, and to make a gingival massage. It is also recommended to those who wear dental appliances, where hygiene is difficult to achieve, to those who have classic prosthetic or implant works, and in cases of gingival inflammation.
Bruxism mouth guard
Bruxism is a voluntary or involuntary act represented by the clenching of teeth and/or their grinding. It can occur during daytime or at night, due to stress, anxiety, misalignment of the teeth or as a symptom of a degenerative disease. The patient experiences jaw pain, headaches or a morning tension sensation in the teeth. In time, this can lead to the abrasion (grinding) of the teeth, cuneiform lesions (the enamel at gum level is dislocated), increased sensitivity to cold and brushing, and in some patients teeth mobility.
Starting from a teeth imprint, the dental lab technician will design the mouth guard for bruxism from a silicone material. Wearing the mouth guard during night time reduces the stress on the temporal-mandibular joint and the oral musculature caused by grinding and clenching of the teeth.
Dental sealants
Dental sealant is a method of preventing tooth decay in premolars and molars, especially in children who fail to efficiently sanitize dental ditches. A barrier that seals the ditches of teeth that have just erupted, ditches where decays are prone to appear, is applied, and all the materials used are enriched with fluoride. As it is a very smooth film, each sealant is checked every three months to ensure its sealing and, if it is missing or discontinued, the sealant is replaced.
